MN Trooper Tickets Semi Driver for a 'Loose Load' – Snow

A trooper pulled a semi driver over in December and ticketed him for a loose load before the pile could fly off and hit another vehicle.

A bump in the road. Some speed and a curve. That’s what the driver of this semi told a Minnesota trooper he hoped would help knock this massive pile of snow from the top of his rig.

A trooper pulled the driver over in December and ticketed him for a loose load before the pile could fly off and hit another vehicle and cause a crash — or worse.

The driver, a Sparta, Wisconsin, man, had just left the Winona Fleet Farm and was on Highway 61, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

He told the trooper he didn’t think the snow was going to be a problem because he figured it was soft and light. He also confessed he had no way to remove the massive pile.

The driver fixed the problem with a ladder and shovel, MSP said.
