Northfield Football Team's Sales Blitz Under Way

football practice started Monday, but the Raiders are also working on a blitz of a different kind this week.

Raiders football players are canvassing the town selling the team's Raider football coupon books through the middle of next week.

The books contain coupons from a number of local Northfield businesses. Proceeds from the sales will go toward the football team.

There is also a friendly competition among the players to see who will be the top salesman. Players were divided onto teams for the fund-raising effort, and in addition to prizes for selling their quota of coupon books, there are also prizes for the top individual salesman as well as the team that sells the most.
