Night to Unite Neighborhood Gatherings Eligible for Financial Support

The Rice County Chemical Health Coalition is offering grants up to $300 for neighborhoods planning Night to Unite events on August 6th.  Funds may be used to support the purchase of items, food and other supplies needed to put on a neighborhood party for all ages.

The coalition is aware that when families know one another and communicate frequently it has a positive effect on our community as a whole. Neighbors watch out for each other’s children, problems can be resolved peacefully and the presence of drug related crimes can be prevented. Children need multiple adults in their lives to assist them in making safe and healthy decisions as well. Night to Unite is a great opportunity to get the neighborhoods together and support our community’s young people in being successful.

To get involved in Night to Unite, contact your local Police Department and receive a Night to Unite kit.

The Night to Unite $300 grant application process is simple. Visit www.ricecountychc.com/minigrants to download an application or contact bford@ricecountychc.com for more information.
