Northfield Boys Track Takes 8th At True Team Sections
Owatonna won the meet and advanced to next week's Class AAA state meet
The Northfield boys track and field team took eighth overall on Tuesday at the Section 1AAA True Team meet in Rochester.
The Raiders finished with 450.50 points in the nine-team section. Owatonna won the meet with 899.50 points and advanced to the Class AAA True Team state meet next Friday.
Senior Tyler Larson led the way for Northfield. Larson won the 800 meter run with a 2:00.06 performance, then took second in the 1600 meter run with a 4:38.46 finish.

Junior Nathaniel Killam finished third in the 400 meter dash at 52.42, senior Nicholas Motzko finished fourth in the 300 meter hurdles with a 42.95 time and Kyle Blom finished tied for seventh in the triple jump at 39 feet, 11 inches.
Kohl Degroot finished the pole vault in fourth place with a 13 foot, 0 inch performance, and Northfield’s 4x200 meter relay team finished fifth overall with a 1:38.26 time.
