Gymnastics

When did you realize you wanted to be a high school coach?
When I could have fun doing something and get paid for it.

If you could meet anyone in the world’s history, who would you meet and why?
John Gruden because I love his conversation style.

Who motivated you to become a coach?
Dave Nelson—my high school football coach from Blaine. He's now the Minnetonka head football coach.

If you could coach any team, collegiatelly or professionally, which would it be?
The Vikings. Why? Because things would change, like, we would win and know how to run a playbook. 

What is your favorite quote and who said it?
"You can do it"—Bela Karoli

How would you describe your coaching style in three words or less?
Tough, but fun.

What do you like most about coaching?
Joking around with my athletes and getting them to laugh.

How do you like to spend your free time away from sports?
Spending time fishing, hunting and with my wife.
