Northfield Cross Country Teams Finish 7th, 12th at Rosemount Invitational

The girls placed seventh as a team with Kaia Bierman finishing fifth overall.

The competed at the Rosemount Invitational on Friday in Rosemount.

The Raiders girls team took seventh overall with 189 team points. Prior Lake took first at 60 points, Stillwater took second at 107 and host Rosemount took third with 116. On the boys side, the Raiders took 12th overall with a team score of 347 points. Rosemount won the race with 45 points and White Bear Lake took second with 74 points.

Sophomore Kaia Bierman led the girls team by taking fifth overall with a 12:13.2 finish. Junior Maria Olson took 22nd at 12:44.1, junior Sarah Behr took 53rd at 13:25.8 and freshman Annika Peterson took 54th at 13:26.2. Senior hannah Sayner took 55th at 13:26.8, junior Zoe Webb finished 58th at 13:47.1 and senior Annie DeSutter took 65th at 13:56.2.

For the boys, senior Sam Fox took 52nd with a time of 11:14.5. Junior Andrew Wilson took 64th at 11:32.1, sophomore Ian Iverson took 66th at 11:33.7 and Corbin Godfrey took 80th at 11:50.6. 

Senior Dane Mandy took 85th at 11:56.5, junior Logan Regnier took 89th at 12:00.3 and junior Will Olstad took 90th at 12.00.9.

The Raiders’ next meet is on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Luther College in Decorah, IA.
