Northfield Girls Golfers Finish First Day of State In 8th Place
The Raiders shot a 380 overall, while Wayzata leads all teams with a 331 at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

The Northfield girls golf team finished the first day of the Class AAA state meet with a team score of 380 and sit in eight place at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
Wayzata leads the pack with a team score of 331. Stillwater Area is in second place with a 337 team score.
Day 2 tees off at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.

For the Raiders, senior Brooke Finger led the way on the first day by shooting an 80. She is currently tied for eighth place.
Junior Devyn Gardner is in 45th place with a 90, Katie Moors is 82nd with a 102, Cassidy Hanzlik and Nicole Traxler are tied for 86th with a 108 and Laine Fischer is 88th with a 110.

Individually, New Prague freshman McKenzie Neisen is leading the girls’ tournament with a score of 71.
