Northfield Opens First Microbrewery And Taproom

NORTHFIELD, MN — Northfield’s first microbrewery and taproom celebrated its Grand Opening Thursday. Tanzenwald Brewing Company, located at 103 Water Street North, says on Facebook that it "celebrates the art in everyday things."

"Inside our rustic taproom, we celebrate the art of brewing, cooking, playing music, and the simple art of being in relationship to one another within community," the brewery adds.

Tanzenwald offers an "eclectic list of beer styles" including IPAs, pale ales, pilsners, and barrel-aged and sour beers.

Tanzenwald’s head brewer, Stephen Pittman, has previously worked as a Marine Biologist on the coast of California.

In addition to beer, Tanzenwald also serves food, including Polish, German, and Italian-style sausages, as well as dishes served on tortillas and with potatoes. Check out their menu here.
