Northfield Police Make Arrest In Suspected Prostitution Case
On Friday, Northfield police officers executed a search warrant at a business for a suspect prostitution case.
The Northfield Police Department has made an arrest in a suspected prostitution case. At about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, Northfield police officers executed a search warrant at a business in the 1000 block of Highway #3 South.
The warrant was the result of an investigation related to potential prostitution and/or human trafficking.
NPD was assisted by investigators from the MN BCA Predatory Crimes Unit and the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force. The officers detained several people and arrested an adult male on probable cause for promotion of prostitution, according to a news release.

The male was placed in the Rice County Jail and is expected to be charged in Rice County Court on Monday.
The investigation is still open and will likely continue for several weeks.

Police say no further information is available for release at this time.
