Northfield Police Seek Suspects In Burglaries, Auto Theft

The Northfield Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a person of interest in recent burglaries and an auto theft.

NORTHFIELD, MN — The Northfield Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a person of interest in recent burglaries and an auto theft. On June 4, 2017, during the evening and overnight hours, two underground parking garages were broken into and items were stolen, according to police.

Authorities say an unidentified male forced entry into the underground parking garage at 101 St. Olaf Avenue. Once inside the garage, the male broke a window to gain access to a vehicle, according to police.

The vehicle was then stolen from the garage. The vehicle was recovered the same day it was stolen, according to a news release.

Authorities say suspect appeared to be wearing jeans, glasses, a dark button down shirt, multicolored or camo hat, white shoes, and scarf or bandana around the neck. The underground garage to Mosaic Apartments, 1400 Heritage Drive, was broken into, according to police.

Multiple vehicles were entered and items were stolen. Authorities say the male suspect was wearing a dark colored button down shirt, blue jeans, white shoes, and dark framed glasses.

The male also had a dark colored backpack with him. Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to call the Northfield Police Department at (507) 645-4477 and ask for investigations.
