Northfield Raiders Football Roll to a 33-20 Win Over New Prague

In a game that saw eight rushing touchdowns, the varsity football team bested Missota Conference rival New Prague by a final score of 33-20 on a chilly Friday night at .
In their home opener, the Raiders opened up a 13-0 lead before halftime on scoring plays from running backs Devin Walker and Adam Woitalla. Northfield added another Walker touchdown in the third quarter, opening up a 19-0 lead.
The Trojans got their first touchdown in the third quarter.
Northfield responded in the fourth quarter with a pair of rushing touchdowns—another from Walker, and one from Cody Fugate, putting the team up 33-6. New Prague scored the final two touchdowns of the game.
The win moved Northfield to 2-1 (1-1 Missota) on the season. The Raiders next play 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Red Wing.
