Battling hot and humid weather on Tuesday, the Northfield Raiders softball team walked away with a win on the strength of Mariah Shroyer's arm.

The sophomore pitched a complete game in the 6-2 win over the Academy of Holy Angels. The victory moves Northfield to 9-4 on the season.

The Raiders next play 4:30 p.m. Thursday at home against Shakopee.
