NORTHFILED, MN — One lucky Northfield resident struck gold playing the lottery this month. Katherine Willis won $100,000 by playing the "Gold and Silver" crossword scratch game.
Willis purchased her winning ticket at the Holiday Station store located at 100 Water Street in Northfield. The business earned a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Willis claimed her prize at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville on July 12.
