Team rebounds with two wins on Saturday, takes 13th place

The competed in the 27th annual Bachman Invitational tournament held at Lakeville North on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, started the tournament against Prior Lake. In a best-of-three game format, the Lakers beat Northfield 25-10, 25-18. In the second round, Northfield took on Sioux Falls Roosevelt and lost in straight games 25-16, 25-13.

Northfield was placed in a round robin bracket with Irondale and Spring Lake Park. The Raiders beat both teams in two games. First, the team beat Irondale 25-22, 25-18. And in their final match of the tournament, they won 25-20, 25-15.

The Raiders (7-19) will travel to the Academy of Holy Angels for a match on Oct. 13.
