Everyone is invited to the second annual Young Sculptors grand "unveiling" of their new sculpture at the corner of 3rd St. and Division St. in front of the Northfield Carnegie Library on Friday, June 21 at 4:30 PM. Approximately 14 Northfield High School students assisted art teacher and artist, Rafa Estrella in creating a new public sculpture that will grace the corner of downtown for one year. The sculpture is a collection of metal and ceramic spheres stacked on curved metal posts. It is going a lovely addition to downtown!
The Young Sculptors Project is a collaboration between the Northfield Public Schools and the Southeast Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) and the MN Legacy funds.
Please help us to celebrate and meet Rafa and the students who created this new and exciting sculpture.
