UPDATE: Northfield's Logan Canedy Places Third At State Meet

Northfield senior wrestler Logan Canedy finished his wrestling career with a third place finish at Saturday’s Class AAA state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Canedy defeated Cambridge-Isanti’s Cody Glines 10-8 in the 152-pound third-place match, finishing the weekend with a 4-1 record.

He lost to five-time state champion Destin McCauley of Apple Valley in the championship semifinals by technical fall, but rebounded to beat Chaska’s Danny Egesdal 10-8 in overtime before beating Glines for third place.

Freshman Carson Canedy finished the 119-pound tournament with a 2-3 record after losing the fifth-place match to St. Michael-Albertville’s Mark Voss 7-5.
