PHOTOS: Official Unveiling of Downtown Sculpture Planned for Friday

The official unveiling is planned for 4:30 p.m. at the public meeting place at the corner of Third and Division streets. The public is welcome to attend.

Northfield residents have gotten a sneak peak of the latest sculpture created by Northfield High School students and erected at the corner of Third and Division streets for a couple of days now.

The official unveiling, though, is planned for 4:30 p.m. Friday. The public is welcome to attend.

The new sculpture—created as part of the Young Sculptors Project made possible by a grant from the South East Minnesota Arts Council and funding from the Minnesota State Legacy fund—replaces the "Tree of Knowledge and Delight," which ended its year-long run in downtown earlier this month. That piece was moved to a student sculpture garden at the high school.
