Old Memorial Pool Opens June 3
Sales of pre-season passes began this week. Construction of a concession stand is expected to begin when the weather permits.

It may not look like it outside, but opening day for Northfield’s Old Memorial Pool is less than a month away.
The community pool is slated to open—weather permitting, of course—at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 3.
Because Northfield Public Schools will be in session through Tuesday, June 4, the first two days of the pool season will be abbreviated: from 3:30 to 8 p.m. June 3 and June 4.

CONCESSION STAND
New to the pool this year will be a concession stand.
Here is an update on construction of the concession from the May 3 Administrator’s Memo:
Staff has been preparing for the construction of the concession stand and the new office area at the pool for the 2013 season. Because of the weather it is anticipated that there will be some work finishing up when the pool opens for the season on June 3. As a result, staff is working on an interim solution to keep the pool patrons and the contractor entrances separated to reduce safety issues or delays to the contractor. The permit from the Department of Health is in process and the plumbing permit has been received with some very minor comments.
