One Person Transported to Northfield Hospital Following Crash

One person was transported to Northfield Hospital following a three-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 3 just south of Woodley Street on Saturday afternoon.
Northfield police were investigating the crash, which was reported at about 4:15 p.m.
The Northfield Hospital and Clinics ambulance left for the hospital about 30 minutes later, according to a dispatch report.
Two of the vehicles involved in the crash—a Ford Taurus and a Volkswagen sedan—were parked on the left lane shoulder of the divided highway. A police cruiser blocked the left traffic lane.
The third, a minivan, was stopped on the right shoulder, out of the way of oncoming traffic.
Shortly after the crash, all three drivers were out of their vehicles and talking to police and emergency personnel.
Traffic was moving steadily through the crash scene in the right lane of northbound Highway 3, but there was a bit of debris in the roadway.
The roadway was wet at the time of the crash.
