With the temps hitting the 60s, many teams were ready for track and field on Friday.

Finally with some seasonable weather, Northfield got some sports action in this week.

The Raiders visited Rosemount on Friday for the eight-team Jim Sauer Invitational as many teams throughout the state participated in the annual Hamline Elite meet in St. Paul.

Northfield came in sixth with 39 points, fending off Albert Lea, which scored 37.35. Rosemount won the invitational with a score of 178.71.

The Raiders scored a trio of thirds from Tyler Larson in the 800-meter run (2:00:46), Kohl DeGroot in the pole vault (12 feet 6 inches) and Cooper Schultz in shot put (47 feet 10 inches).
