Rain Causes Changes to Defeat of Jesse James Days

Due to the rain this past week, the Defeat of Jesse James Days committee has decided to move the DJJD carnival to the K-Mart property at 404 Schilling Dr., Dundas, MN 55019.

The committee held out until the last possible second to move the carnival, but the rain would not stop, according to a news release.

There is parking available at the K-Mart lot, or you are encouraged to use one the newly expanded shuttle system.

The Sundowner Car Show located at Riverside Park, will be moving a portion of the Car Show to a grassy spot by Village on the Cannon (301 7th Street West). This is a minor move as the alternate site is located close to the original location.

Expanded Park and Ride Shuttle Service

In addition, to improve parking in downtown Northfield and the surrounding neighborhoods, there is expanded park and ride shuttle service. The expanded service includes lots at the Northfield Ballroom (1055 Minnesota 3), All Flex Flexible Circuits (1705 Cannon Lane), Sechler Park in Northfield, and the two parking lots across from Post Consumer Brands (701 5th Street) which will be available on Friday, Sept. 9 after 5:00 p.m.

There will be an express shuttle service to and from the carnival on Thursday only. The pickup stops are the downtown stops.
