Section of Division Street Temporarily Closed Tuesday

TJ Heinricy, Northfield's streets and parks supervisor, said part of the 600 block of Division Street will close for a few hours on Tuesday to investigate .

The goal on Tuesday, he said, would be to try to determine the reason behind the collapse, which City Administrator Tim Madigan over the week said was believed to be related to storm water pipe issues beneath the road.

Heinricy also said that witnesses on Saturday said the road buckled after National Guard vehicles drove over the area in question.
