Shirt Causes Rear Brake To Lock In Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The crash happened Saturday evening in southern Minnesota.

SHELDON TOWNSHIP, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol says a motorcyclist died in a crash Saturday evening caused by the rider's shirt.

John Lars Huston, 66, was traveling south on Highway 76 just after 5 p.m. when his shirt got caught in the rear brake of his Yamaha motorcycle, causing it to lock.

Huston was then thrown from his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet in the crash, authorities said.
