So after much thought about what I wanted my first blog post to be about, I decided that I had been experiencing a lot of stress lately...So...why not write about that?

Stress comes in a variety of forms. Anywhere from getting your kids to do behave, to a presentation on why last quarter didn't go well in front of your bosses. Stress is something we ALL have to deal with at one time or another. But wouldn't it be nice if we could just take a little of that stress out #onedayatatime?

Well after talking with some co-workers at Warm Embrace. We put together a little list to help alleviate some stress.
1. Driving Home- Take time on your drive home to reflect on your day, and focus on the things that went well (Especially useful during rush hour).
2. Family Dinner- Make each night special by spending the night around the kitchen table with no T.V. or Cell Phones, but instead with your kids and family.
3. Work Out- Try to work out at least 4 times a week. Working out helps release endorphins that help relieve stress.
4. Healthy Snacking- We all know fast food is bad for us, but it tastes sooo good. Instead of the greasy burgers and fries we suggest you bring snacks with you to work. That way instead of eating fast food you can eat something healthier (veggies are AWESOME). This in turn will make you feel better and also keep you healthy!
5. Sleep- Sleep is one of the most important things for us to get enough of. It is also the thing I look forward to most at the end of the day. Make sure you can get a good nights rest on a regular basis. This is going to give you the energy to do the best job you can at work.
6. Smile- Don’t you enjoy people that smile a lot. They always seem so happy. And even if their not, they do a good job of hiding it. So why can’t we be one of those people?
7. Talking- Take some time to talk to co-workers, friends, and family. Talking is a great way for individuals to learn about each other and get input about problems they may be having. Don’t forget how important communication is to your life.
8. Take time for yourself- Go play a game of golf, go for a run, do a hobby. Just make sure you give yourself some time to unwind after the day. This is going to make all the difference in the world!!
All of these are simple things we can do every day to make ourselves a little happier. #letsgetthroughthistogether
