VIDEO: Getting a Taste of the Re-enactment

Residents who turned out for the hamburgers, pizza and cupcakes of the Taste of Northfield on Thursday night also received a side order of the Defeat of Jesse James Days. The James-Younger Gang performed a re-enactment of the famous 1876 raid on the First National Bank of Northfield. The re-enactment is one of the centerpieces of Northfield’s annual DJJD, which organizers say is the largest all-volunteer community festival in Minnesota. DJJD is scheduled for the weekend after Labor Day each year. This year, the festival dates are Sept. 4-8.
