• Supporters of flag-waving Bayport man rally after assault (twincities.com) — A longtime Xcel Energy worker at Oak Park Heights' Allen S. King plant, Bayport resident and Marine veteran Gary Lorence is drawing community support after police say a neighbor assaulted him while he waved an American flag near a busy corner. Nearly 50 supporters, many from Stillwater-area churches and veterans groups, gathered to stand beside him and affirm his daily flag-waving vigil.
