Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. Our school is committed to our students’ long term success. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. We also have a strong character education program to ensure students develop exceptional leadership skills. The character education program includes service learning projects and a focus of five core virtues - respect, responsibility, perseverance, gratitude and humanity. WLA uses the rigorous and classical Core Knowledge Curriculum to build strong foundational knowledge across subjects, promoting academic excellence and equity. By ensuring all students share common knowledge, we can narrow achievement gaps and build critical thinking and long-term success. WLA is a public school with a private school feeling. WLA students wear school uniforms to promote equality, reduce peer pressure, and minimize distractions. Small class sizes at WLA allow for teachers and staff to provide personalized instruction, build strong relationships, and increase student engagement. The discount grocer has reached an agreement to lease location at 8472 Tamarack Bay, according to a spokesperson from Aldi's public relations firm. Construction is slated to begin in the middle of June and the anticipated grand opening date is late September or early October 2012, the spokesperson told <a href="https://woodbury.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Patch</a>. Aldi, known for its low prices, has more than 1,000 stores in 31 states, <a href="http://aldi.us/us/html/company/about_aldi_ENU_HTML.htm?WT.z_src=main" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to its website</a>. Nearly 95 percent of its products are sold under exclusive Aldi brands.
