Washington County Tree Drop-Off Locations

A press release from Washington County: 

When the holiday season is over, recycle that Christmas tree by dropping it off at one of the following locations.

Note the hours of operation, fees, and restrictions for each site. Tree stands, plastic bags, tinsel, wire, lights, and all other decorations must be removed before drop-off. 

Private waste haulers, cities, or townships may also accept Christmas trees. Residents should contact these sources directly for more information.

• Bayport: River City Services, 201 Second Ave. S., open to all residents. Open year-round Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cost is $5 per tree. For more information, call River City Services at 651-430-2809. 
• Cottage Grove: Rumpca Companies, Inc., 9600 Glendenning Road, open to all residents. Open Jan. 7-8 and Jan. 14-15 Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cost is $1 per tree. The $1 fee will be waived if a canned good is brought in for donation to the local food shelf. For more information, call Rumpca Companies at 651-459-1556.
• Forest Lake: Public Works, 843 S.W. Fourth St., open to Forest Lake residents only. Open Dec. 26 - Jan. 29, and residents may drop off trees when convenient. There is no charge. For more information, call Forest Lake Public Works at 651-464-3220.

• Oakdale: City of Oakdale Public Works, 1900 Hadley Ave. N., open to Oakdale residents only. Open Dec. 26 - Jan. 31 Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Cost is $3 per tree. For more information, call Oakdale Public Works at 651-730-2740.
• Stillwater: Buberl Recycling and Compost, 5750 Memorial Ave. N., open to all county residents. Open year-round Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cost is $2 per tree. For more information, call Buberl Recycling and Compost at 651-439-8399.
• Woodbury: Composting Concepts, 4600 Cottage Grove Drive, open to all residents. Open Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cost is $6 per tree, $5 per wreath. For more information, call Composting Concepts at 651-436-1213.
