What do you do for your anniversary? Our tradition is to go to the Chanhassen Dinner, stay overnight at Chanhassen Country Inn and spend the next day at the Arboretum. The irises are in full bloom the second week of June. Irises have our anniversary flower. I even made a rainbow iris garden in our yard to celebrate the occasion.
This year we also spend a weekend at Penokee Mountain Inn B&B in northern Wisconsin. What a beautiful setting, near Morgan Falls, a perfect place for a anniversary kiss. Did you know that the Penokee Mountains were once the highest mountains in north America, even higher than today's Himalayas. The glaciers wore them down, but also create the great lakes, a fair exchange.
