Oakdale, MN August 1, 2013: Canvas Health announced the outcome of their 22nd Annual Golf Classic fundraising event held on Monday, July 22nd at the Stillwater County Club. The event was a huge success, raising over $46,000 to support a wide range of services helping children, adolescents, adults and families who struggle with mental and chemical health issues, aging, violence and sexual abuse.

Golfers from across the Twin Cities enjoyed a beautiful day and the magnificent course at the Stillwater Country Club. After golfing and dining on superb prime rib, golfers tried to out-bid each other during the silent auction as well as win prizes from a raffle. The golf team from Associated Financial Group took first place in the Scramble Tournament.

Dan “The Common Man” Cole of KFAN fame was the celebrity guest speaker generously giving his time and words of wisdom for those in recovery from substance abuse. Dan introduced the keynote speaker, Michelle, a former Canvas Health chemical health client with a powerful story of recovery and years of hope-filled sobriety.
Regrettably no one won the hole-in-one prize of a 2013 Chevrolet Impala from Stillwater Motors or the two year lease on a Ford Explorer sponsored by Boyer Ford Truck, but the 2014 23rd Annual Canvas Health Golf Classic will offer area golfers another chance to win both amazing prizes.

Each year Canvas Health programs serve more than 8,700 children, adolescents, adults and elderly challenged with debilitating aspects of mental illness, chemical misuse, aging, or physical and sexual abuse. Additional Canvas Health programs and services include: Crisis Connection; utilizing both volunteers and staff, who answer 44,000 crisis calls annually, assistance of housing, employment and referrals to over 530 homeless youth, and anti-bullying educated to over 11,700 Washington County students.
