We’re not going to write about an over-haul
but rather what simple steps you could take
that would be easy to adopt as long-term
lifestyle changes that would make a positive
contribution to your overall health and wellbeing.
So, here goes…
1. Take time off from your regular, every
day routine by taking the stairs, parking
further from your destination, etc.
2. Sounds crazy but give yourself time to
relax your mind and body. Actually
getting a little more sleep has been found
to be beneficial. In the long run, this
will pay off in many healthy ways.
3. Set achievable health and fitness goals
with a buddy to hold one another to your
word to do what you need to do.
4. Hydrate. We have repeatedly suggested
more water so set a reminder to drink
more water every day.
5. Take baby steps to be more conscious
about what you eat. Make at least one
healthy substitution at every meal and
make at least one meal a day healthier.
6. Get outside more and breathe!
7. Put a more upbeat playlist and/or a more
motivational playlist on your ipod or
mp3 player to keep you moving!
8. Create reminders and post them where
you can see them to sit straight, walk
more, eat right, be happy, think well.
9. Be prepared. Regular chiropractic
checkups add to the value of all of these.
Getting and staying fit are goals that most people embrace. But, how to achieve them? Step one
is writing your goals down. Step two is finding a partner to support you in your efforts. Step
three is to acknowledge the benefits you are already receiving like improved sleep, more and
sustained energy, increased flexibility and stamina…to say nothing of the growing sense of wellbeing.
Then, reward yourself with whatever will motivate you to stay with your regimen.
