City of Oakdale Looking for Help in Finding Stolen Truck and Trailer
A public works truck and trailer was stolen around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The City of Oakdale is asking for help from the public in locating a public works truck and trailer that were stolen around 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to a city press release.
The truck was parked in the 6200 block of 15th Street between two job sites, with crews working about a half block away from where it was parked, said Streets Superintendent Jim Romanik.
Crews were repairing asphalt in areas where there had been water main breaks over the winter, he said. When workers returned to the truck to to get a hydraulic jackhammer for a Bobcat, they found it missing, said Oakdale City Clerk Sue Barry.

Romanik said there was about a half-hour window between when he last saw the truck and when he got the call that it had been stolen. The total value of the items stolen is around $65,000, he said.
The truck is a dark blue 2004 Ford F-550 Heavy Duty Truck with “City of Oakdale” emblems on driver’s side and passenger side doors, according to a press release. Connected to the truck was a 14-foot Felling trailer.

The city is asking anyone with information on the truck, trailer or both to call 9-1-1.
