Cops Nab Burglary Suspects After Resident Reports Suspicious Activity

Oakdale Police Department lauds public's reports on suspicious activity.

Sometimes the puzzle pieces do come together.

That's the message that the Oakdale Police Department wants to get out to residents. 

On Sept. 29, the police department received a report of suspicious activity at the 7600 block of 15th Street Lane. The complainant reported that three juvenile males on bicycles were looking inside parked vehicles in the area.

Police located the three males riding bikes on the 7700 block of 12th Street.

Upon further investigation police identified the three juveniles as suspects in a burglary on the 7500 block of 19th Street. The complainant had previously reported that three bicycles were stolen from his open garage. The bikes were valued at more than $700.

"This report shows the value of your vigilance and reporting efforts," said Michelle Stark of the Oakdale Police Department in an email to Neighborhood Watch Groups. "Every once in a while the 'puzzle pieces' do come together. I wanted to share this success for those who are invested in your Neighborhood Watch groups."
