Suriname is a small country on the northeastern coast of South America. It’s defined by vast swaths of tropical rainforest, Dutch colonial-era architecture and a melting-pot culture. On its Atlantic coast is the capital, Paramaribo, where palm gardens grow near Fort Zeelandia, a 17th-century trading post. It is about one-tenth larger than Michigan.
Ryvann is 15 years old and comes from a small village in Suriname. He has many interests such as chess, swimming, running and playing the guitar. He likes spending time with his friends. They like to go to movies together or take pictures of themselves or the beautiful nature of Suriname and most often they do their homework together. Ryvann has big hopes for the future. He wants to help people and especially children in need. He wants to make an impact in the world and it could begin when you chose to host him for the upcoming school year!
