District 622 Elementary School Students Display Their Research Work
Students from throughout the district in the elementary schools' SAIL program gathered at Skyview Community School Tuesday for a research fair.
Elementary school third- through fifth-graders in the SAIL program (Students Accelerated in Learning) from throughout District 622 got together in the media center Tuesday night for a research fair.
At the fair, third-graders displayed brochures they made on a city of their choice, fourth-graders showed off posters they had created about a historical figure who was a person of color or female and fifth-graders chose from a variety of presentation formats—including board games and PowerPoint presentations—to convey their research on any topic of their choice.
The goals of the annual fair include helping the students learn how to research and piquing their interest in a subject.
