The Tartan Area Youth Hockey Association is planning a daylong event for the public Saturday, Dec. 17, at Tartan Arena. The day will include games, drawings, jersey sales and other fun activities. Seventeen boys youth sports matches will take place throughout the day, with the first one starting at 8 a.m. and the last one ending at 10 p.m. Admission to the youth games is free. For the full schedule see the Tartan Area Youth Hockey Association website. Tartan High School’s boys team will also play that day against South St. Paul. The JV team plays at 1 p.m. and the varsity team plays at 3 p.m. Regular admission will be charged. A similar event on Jan. 28 will feature the girls teams.
