Reception for Artist Elisabeth S. Paper and her "Images of Peace"

The public is invited to an opening reception of "Images of Peace", an exhibition of drawings, photographs and collages by Elisabeth S. Paper.  The reception will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Oakdale Discovery Center Art Gallery.  Refreshments will be served.

"Images of Peace" has a strong Asian component which was nurtured during the artist's travels to Thailand, Burma, Taiwan and Japan.  The peace theme is tied together with the artist's evolving interpretation of the crane, the maple leaf and other icons.  She uses intricate original scissor cuttings, drawings, decorative papers, calligraphy, textiles and Asian Scrolls. 

Ms. Paper's artwork will be on display during the months of November and December and is open for viewing during regular Discovery Center hours:  8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday; Thursday has extended hours to 8 p.m.; Saturdays 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.; Sundays 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
