
The Washington County Parks department is inviting residents to use lit ski and walking trails at Lake Elmo Park Reserve from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 as part of its solstice ski and hike night. More than 200 tiki torches wil be out to light the trails for skiiers and walkers.
The night also included a visit from Santa, a chance to take a look at the stars with Mike Lynch, and warm beverages. This event is free with a Washington County Parks vehicle permit. Skiers must purchase a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources ski pass for use of the groomed trails.
Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10 one mile north of Interstate 94 in Lake Elmo. The event will take place at the Trailhead Ski Shelter.
