Five Things You Should Know Today: May 22

From music to story time, there's plenty to do in Oakdale today.

1. Another beautiful day, and warmer than yesterday. According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78. 

2. School District 622 will meet tonight to discuss a new health and safety policy, among other things. Late in the 2012 legislative session, health and safety statues were changed and all districts are now required to have a policy in place.

3. The Washington County Library in Oakdale will host a today. Stories, songs and finger plays aid in the development of early literacy skills, according to the library.

4. On this day in 1843, a massive wagon train made up of 1,000 settlers traveled across the dangerous Oregon Trail. 

5. In the mood for some music? Go to the North High Auditorium for the All North High Choir Spring Concert at 7 p.m. General admission to the concert is $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.
