At the Oakdale Branch Library, children have an opportunity to read to a unique partner—a dog.
Each Tuesday night, children sign up to read to a well-trained dog brought to the library by a volunteer. The program has been so popular, with children signing up to read up to six weeks in advance, that the library added a third dog to the rotation. Begining March 7, the read to a dog program will also be held on Monday evenings to help satisfy the need of children who want to participate in the program.
