Great Escape: Vibrant Life Center offers the Royal Treatment

Anybody can be a queen for a day—but doing it for only $40? That’s an accomplishment.

Oakdale’s Vibrant Life Center is offering a package of services—a facial wrap or body wrap, a peppermint foot massage and a chair massage—topped off with a chocolate-covered martini to make even the weariest among us feel like royalty at the Queen for a Day event from 3 to 8 p.m. March 12, said office administrator Lynn Carver.

Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door, she said.

Intense relaxation is offered daily at the center through Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal and peppermint foot massages, said massage therapist Emily Faehn.

Customers’ first one-hour massage at the center is $39, and the second one is $49 if scheduled at the time of the first appointment, she said.

One of the center’s newest treatments, body wraps, is quickly growing in popularity, Faehn said.

The treatment won’t have you bound up like King Tut, she said. The wraps are a stretchy, gel-like substance with ingredients like eucalyptus, green tea and menthol that can be applied to any area of the body, she said.

People use them for detoxification, slimming effects and to reduce pain and inflammation, she said.
