Kids Planner: Get Area Easter Activities on Your Calendar

Time to plan ahead for some Easter egg fun!

Red Rock Swing Band 

• When/Where: Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at the Central Park Amphitheater in Woodbury.
• Why Go: Go hear this local 17-piece band and try out your own Dancing with the Stars moves.
• Geared Toward: The whole crew.  Bring grandma and grandpa and let them show you how it’s really done.
• Price: Free.

 Open Swim

• When/Where: Saturday, April 9, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the pool.
• Why Go:  The beach may not be open yet but you can still get some swimming in.
• Geared Toward: School age and older.
• Price: $10 for a family of four.

 Plan Ahead: Duck, Duck, Gray Duck

• When/Where: Friday, April 15, from 9:30-11 a.m. at the .
• Why Go: Your little ones will be able to tell you what all that honking means by the time they come home. 
• Geared Toward: 3- to 6-year-olds. (Must be potty trained)
• Price: $7 per participant.
• Register by: April 8.

 Plan Ahead: Easter Bunny’s Egg Hunt 

• When/Where: Saturday, April 23 from 9-11 a.m. at the Oakdale Discovery Center.
• Why Go: Take the kids and all the cousins in from out of town to this egg hunt that is so much more. Besides hunting for eggs, the kids will be able to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, have their faces painted and pet some animals.
• Geared Toward: Elementary age and younger.
• Price: $12 per participant.
• Register by: April 15.

 Plan Ahead: Easter Eggstravaganza

• When/Where: Saturday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at the Edgerton Community Gym in Maplewood.
• Why Go: Want to extend your Easter egg hunting over a few weekends? Check out this egg hunt which also includes a pancake bar breakfast.
• Geared Toward: Elementary age and younger.
• Price: $5 per child.
