Kids Planner: See Farm Babies and Get Harmonic Relief (and cheap kids' clothes)

Farm Babies 

• When/Where:  9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily through April 30 at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley.
• Why Go: If your kids still haven’t gotten their fill of baby bunnies, chicks and ducks, check out the new arrivals here.
• Geared Toward: Everyone. Who doesn’t love the zoo?
• Price: $10-16 per person.

 Harmonic Relief

• When/Where: April 29, 30 and May 1 at the Maplewood Community Center.
• Why Go: If you love movie music, you’ll have a great time.
• Geared Toward: The whole gang.
• Price: $8-12 per person.

 Fish Creek Wildflower Hike

•  When/Where: Saturday, April 30 from 1-3 p.m. leaving from Oakwood Church in St. Paul.
• Why Go: Learn all about native flowering plants and enjoy some time outside.
• Geared Toward: The whole family but the hike is over some uneven terrain so leave the stroller at home.
• Price: Free but call to register by April 28.

Munchkin Market 

• When/Where: April 30-May 1 at the Washington County Fairgrounds
•  Why Go: While we wouldn’t recommend bringing the kids with you, this sale is a great opportunity to stock up on summer clothes and toys for them.
• Geared Toward: The parent that likes to save money—clothes range from preemie to size 14.
• Price:  $1 admission or free with a nonperishable food item.

Plan Ahead: Intro to Kayaking

• When/Where: Saturday, May 7, from 9-10:30 at Silver Lake Beach.
• Why Go: If you’ve ever wanted to try this sport out, this is a great way to do it. Kayaks, life jackets and instruction are all provided.
• Geared Toward: 6-year-olds and up.
• Price: $30 for a family of four.
• Registration: Register by May 2.
