Kids Planner: Watch The Stars or The Stage as a Family

Events this week include a star party and a production of Cheaper by the Dozen.

This week has something for everyone—from storytime for the little ones to starwatching for the teenagers, with plenty of things for all the kiddos in between.

When/Where: Thursday, March 31, from 7:45-9:45 p.m. at the .

Why Go:  Here’s your chance to use a big telescope to see the constellations up close. You’ll also get all the information you need to watch the stars this summer.

Geared Toward: Middle school children and older.

Price: $5 per participant. (register by March 25)

When/Where: March 26 & 27 and April 1 & 2 (various times) at East Ridge High School in Woodbury.

Why Go: Wonder what life might be like in a family with 12 kids?  This family friendly musical put on by the Woodbury Community Theatre will show you.

Geared Toward:  School age and older.

Price: $10 for students, $15 for adults. (Seats are reserved, so buy tickets ahead of time through the website or by phone)

 

Zoomobile

When/Where: Saturday March 26 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Central Library.

Why Go: If you missed the Zoomobile when it was in Oakdale a few weeks ago, here’s a second chance. What 5-year old wouldn’t love to see some animals up close and personal?

Geared Toward: Preschool and elementary age children.

Price: Free.

 

Pajama Storytime

When/Where: Monday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Woodbury's R.H. Stafford Library.

Why Go: For a change of pace, put the kids in their pjs and bring them to the library to let someone else read the bedtime story. Storytime also includes some songs and fingerplays. The hardest part about this storytime will be sneaking them into their beds when you get home without waking them up.

Geared Toward: Preschool through kindergarten age children but siblings are always welcome.

Price: Free.

 

Plan Ahead: Fooled Ya!

When/Where: Friday, April 1 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at the Oakdale Discovery Center.

Why Go: People aren’t the only creatures that like to play tricks. Let your little one learn about how animals and plants engage in some trickery too.

Geared Towards: 3 to 6 year olds. (Must be potty trained)

Price: $7 per participant.

Register by: March 25.
