Little Angels Preschool Parents to meet Saturday with Church Administrator, Trustees
The church says financial hardship necessitated closing down the preschool, however parents say they weren't asked to contribute more money.

Parents working to save for at least one more year are planning to meet with the administrator and trustees Saturday morning, the Star Tribune reported.
Parents were from the parish administration that the preschool would be shut down after this school year.
A letter from the Rev. Rodger Bauman, parish priest, attributed the decision to a shrinking number of families from the church using the preschool and tight finances.

“We are currently considerably short of previous years in pledges for 2012 and need to prioritize how we direct our resources,” he said in the letter. “We are exploring other uses of the space within the boundaries of our mission that will generate income and respond to changing demographics.”
Church members have pledged $200,000 less this year than they did last year, according to the church’s Jan. 29 bulletin.

Guardian Angels covers utility and maintenance costs for the preschool space, and does not charge rent, church administrator Denny Farrell said.
Parents of children in the preschool told the Woodbury Bulletin that they had no idea the school was a financial drain on the church, and they were never asked to pay more money or hold fundraisers.
