Ron Bowen is the founder and president of Prairie Restorations, Inc., a Minnesota company started in 1977. PRI is dedicated to the restoration of native plant communities and is likely the oldest active restoration company in America. As a pioneer in the restoration industry, Bowen has been a leader and active participant in promoting and utilizing native plants and plant communities in the built landscape. His talk will focus on the relationship of pollinators to native plant communities. With thirty years experience in restoration, Ron will share what he has learned for improving habitats for bees and other pollinators. Seed Packets will be available, as well as the potential to win a “Pollinator Kit Gift Certificate” Door Prize (value $100) from Prairie Restorations. We invite you to preview some books on prairie restorations and pollinators that are available at the library. (The event is geared towards adults.)
