Kitchen Fire, Smoking Car: Oakdale Fire Blotter

A report of incidents responded to by the Oakdale Fire Department, including 12 medical calls.

Between June 1 and June 5, the Oakdale Fire Department responded to 19 incidents, including one report of an illegal burn and one kitchen fire. Firefighters also responded to the smell of gas at Oakdale's post office and a smoking car on Interstate-694 and 10th Street.

June 1

  • 1500 block of Hadley Avenue, medical call involving a fall.
  • 2300 block of Grange Avenue, medical call involving a family dog.
  • 600 block of Granada Avenue North, medical call involving a possible overdose.

June 2

  • Intersection of Interstate-694 and 10th Street, report of a vehicle smoking on the ramp.
  • 6700 block of 5th Street North, medical call.
  • Intersection of Interstate-694 and Highway 5, report of car accident
  • 5000 block of Grafton Avenue, medical call.
  • 6900 block of 40th Street, report of a fire. Found to be a controlled burn.

June 3

  • 1100 block of Hadley Avenue, medical call involving a diabetic person.
  • 7300 block of 31st Street North, medical call.
  • 7900 block of 20th Street North, medical call.
  • 1000 block of Hadley Avenue, medical call.
  • 4900 block of Hamlet Avenue North, medical call.

June 4

  • Oakdale U.S. Post Office, reported smell of gas. No hazards found.
  • 4800 block of Grenwich Way, medical call involving a fall.
  • 7100 block of 10th Street, medical call
  • 2600 block of Granite Avenue North, report of kitchen fire. Upon arrival, the fire was out. Crews ventilated the kitchen.
  • 6200 block of Upper 35th Street Court, report of fire. Crews found an illegal burn and advised the resident to extinguish the fire.

June 5

  • 7000 block of 24th Street North, medical call.
