Oakdale Man Convicted of Second-Degree Assault
Mark W. Booher, 46, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and five years probation.

An Oakdale man was convicted of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in late December, in connection with an incident involving his daughter, her fiancé and a loaded gun at his Oakdale home.
Mark W. Booher, 46, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, five years probation and a $50 fine on Dec. 22, according to a news release from the Washington County Attorney’s Office.
Booher was accused of pointing a loaded gun at his daughter and her fiancé, and then hurting them when they struggled to get the gun from him, according to the Washington County District Court Complaint. They were cleaning his home, which is in the 1100 block of Greene Avenue, and he was upset that his daughter had dumped half a bottle of vodka down the drain, the complaint says.

Booher was ordered to have no contact with the victims, not use alcohol or drugs, complete chemical dependency treatment, undergo a psychological evaluation, complete a domestic violence/anger management program, have no firearms and remain law abiding, according to the news release.
