Oakdale Mavericks Drop Late Inning Lead to East Ridge

After crawling back to tie the game in the sixth inning, the Oakdale Mavericks dropped an American Legion contest to rival East Ridge, 6-4 Wednesday night. After dropping a first-inning lead, the Mavericks fell behind 4-2. 

In the sixth inning with two outs, East Ridge's pitcher gave up two hits and then hit a batter. Right fielder Cam Smith drove in two runs to tie the game.

In the next inning relief pitcher Eric Olheiser gave up a two run shot, that effectively put the game away.
