Oakdale Police Blotter: A.C. Compressor Stolen from Home in Foreclosure
In other reports, a home was burglarized while its owners were out of town, and a man is accused of damaging two cars with a hammer during an argument.

A pricey air conditioner part was stolen from a home in foreclosure, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
A man drove up to a home in the 3600 block of Gershwin Lane Wednesday, March 7, and removed the compressor from the air conditioner unit outside, according to the report.
The compressor is worth $3,600, the report says.

The following incidents were also reported to Oakdale police March 7:
- Someone forced entry into a home in the 6600 block of Fifth Street and stole two televisions and a watch while the home's owners were out of town. The value of the items stolen was $550 and the property damage estimate was $400.
- Police arrested a 31-year-old Maplewood man who was inside an unregistered room at the . Police found that he had a master key card as well as stolen mail and stolen property. He also had a small amount of marijuana and a scale. He denied ownership or knowledge of the stolen property.
- Someone pried open the passenger side door of a car parked in the 7500 block of Sixth Street and stole a $50 purse containing a driver’s license, credit cards, checkbook and other items between 9 p.m. March 6 and 9 a.m. the next day. The damage estimate was $291 and the value of the items stolen was $194.
- Police found an SUV that had been stolen from Shoreview at Upper Fifth Street and Guthrie Avenue. The SUV was unoccupied, and the keys were inside.
- Students had to evacuate a school bus at Henslow Avenue and 12th Street after its engine started smoking. The bus had to be towed, and the kids were taken to school on another bus in the area.
- A 19-year-old St. Paul man and a 29-year-old Oakdale man were cited for disorderly conduct after getting in a fight in the hallway of a building in the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue. One of the men had been previously trespassed from the building.
- A $150 stereo was stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 1300 block of Gresham Avenue between 10 p.m. March 6 and 6:45 a.m. March 7.
- An Oakdale man reported that someone made $570 worth of fraudulent charges on his debit card at a Walmart in Tennessee. The man was still in possession of his credit card.
- A 21-year-old Oakdale man allegedly took a hammer and broke the taillight out of his girlfriend’s car during an argument in the 3500 block of Genevieve Avenue. He then allegedly started hitting another car with the hammer. The owner of that vehicle requested he be charged.
- An iPod worth $50 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6700 block of 13th Street Circle N. sometime between 8:30 p.m. March 6 and 8:15 a.m. the next day. The front, passenger side window had been broken out, causing $200 damage.
